Welcome
You are invited to Fordham University's Graduate School of Social Service Continuing Education workshop called Imago: Proven Strategies for Helping Couples Get the Love They Want. This workshop, conducted by renown therapist Dr. Harville Hendrix, provides an overview of howImago intervenes on the relationship level to foster healing and growth for individual members of a couple.
Here are just a few of many pertinent relationship issues Dr. Hendrix will address:
- Why do we fall in love with the people that we do?
- Is it ever too late to save a marriage?
- Can you help a couple that rushed into a marriage? How do you work with the “difficult” couple?
- How do you transform destructive conflict into creative tension?
- What core issues do all couples face?
- How do you help couples move from ineffective “communicating” to deep dialogue and restore connection and wholeness?
While the workshop is designed around marital couplings, Imago Relational Therapy is a powerful and effective approach to addressing issues within any two person relationship: parent to child, siblings, close friends, etc.
Attention will be given to the implications of the relational paradigm for all forms of therapy. You will also be introduced to the Flexible Access Clinical Trainingcourse.
F.A.C.T. A is a two-day course that is an intensive beginners course which introduces its participants to the theoretical foundations and clinical applications of Imago Relationship Therapy. Please visit the tab for more information.
