Welcome

You are invited to Fordham's GSS continuing education workshop called Imago: Proven Strategies for Helping Couples Get the Love They Want, instructed by renown therapist Harville Hendrix, Ph.D. Imago helps couples use their relationship to further the healing and growth of each other.

Here are just a few of many pertinent relationship issues Dr. Hendrix will address:
  • Why do we fall in love with the people that we do?
  • Is it ever too late to save a marriage?
  •  Can you help a couple that rushed into a marriage? How do you work with the “difficult” couple?
  • How do you transform destructive conflict into creative tension?
  • What core issues do all couples face?
  • How do you help couples move from ineffective “communicating” to deep dialogue and restore connection and wholeness?

The lecture will introduce the basic theory and therapeutic processes of Imago Relationship Therapy and demonstrate its application to conflicted couples in committed partnerships. Attention will also be given to the implications of the relational paradigm for all forms of therapy.  You will also be introduced to the Flexible Access Clinical Training course.

F.A.C.T. A is a two-day course that will introduce you to the theoretical foundations and clinical applications of Imago Relationship Therapy, a powerful and effective approach to couples counseling. Please visit the tab for more information.
